During Shop Time, Students worked to complete a tire replacement on a John Deere Tractor. Diesel Students worked with tools such as a flatter and wide pry bar. Between the Tire and Rim was a pry bar, and then the flatter was used to help unlodge the tire from the rim. The technicians repeated these steps till the tire was fully out.
The Diesel Students worked to create trainers for the juniors to practice working on. The Trainer shown in this image is known as a power takeoff trainer. These trainers are a great way to expand their knowledge in the field.
The surrounding community donated a Semi Truck to the Diesel Program. Students were able to use this truck to practice several types of repairs. This Photo shows a part known as a Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank. The Importance of this part is to hold the fuel necessary for clean exhaust emissions.
