The students of Fire Science practiced putting on their bunker gear. The Importance of this bunker gear is to protect them from dangerous chemicals, heat, and abrasions. By being able to quickly put on the gear these firefighters are able to respond to these situations with speed and urgency.

A critical piece of gear used by firefighters is known as SCUBA. SCUBA stands for self-contained breathing apparatus. SCUBA provides compressed air to use in dangerous situations. Firefighters’ physical condition affects how long these SCUBA tanks last.
