Hello! I’m Kaylee Ramage, I’m Senior at Rising Sun High School currently and enrolled at CCST in the Interactive Media Class with Mr. Boas, Miss Reed, and all of my other besties. Capstone Update #1.
Just got started with Maya, So i got some basic designs like the chairs and the table where the main part of the game takes place, aswell as getting started with some of the decor around.
Capstone Update #2.
New update! Realized Maya wasn’t the program for me when it came to 3D Modeling, so Mr. Boas helped me, so i could resort to a familiar program named Inventor by AutoDesk. So, I had to recreate some of my basic models. But, I was also able to start making the actual room! Along as the design of some of the basic furniture items from before like the Table, Chairs, Bookshelf, I also plan on adding a fireplace tbh.
Capstone Update #3.
Okay so, I made that fire place! And you can’t forget to put in a cozy chair in front of it, but i also added my first attempt at a plant in Inventor. Definitely trial and error, and it does look like a Lego. But that’s okay, I talked to my Home School CADD teacher, the one who taught me how to use inventor and she has 4th period planning and i have senior option, so she’s gonna teach me how to actually make a plant lol. But I also added a cool colored bookshelf, to add a pop of color!
Big Capstone Update #1 (4)
This is the first big Capstone Update, We went from updating our Capstone’s weekly to monthly in order to have more abundant update. And I have a bunch of new progress to share, so this goal was definitely achieved! So offically, this is the first big Capstone update but all together it is the 4th one i’ve made. But, I decided to change the whole Idea of the game area. I want the room to be like a loft apartment, So it’s going to have living necessities Aswell instead of just being office like. Which means, I had to expand the room all together. The first thing i created was the couch in the living room, and the coffee table. I also got rid of the table in the middle of the room, because now there is more space. So i made a Bedroom which is divided by those cool room dividers, and has a tall wardrobe, bed, and a TV. And the full kitchen, and a dining room with a Wine Rack. The kitchen also has a waterfall island with stools for more seating.
Big Capstone Update #2 (5)
This update may seem a little brief, primarily because I missed an entire school week due to COVID-19. I made a bold decision which was transforming the lofted apartment into a full blown house! I’m extremely limited though because of the progress I made previously, for example I would definitely have made the kitchen wayyy bigger and instead of a bedroom where it’s at I would’ve made that the dining room instead and open the floor plan more.
Big Capstone Update #3 (6)
The final capstone update! This includes small additions to the house, and mostly trying to add color which was the final step. I didn’t finish as much as I wanted to, there were a lot more furniture items I wanted to add and a bunch of clutter but I ran out of time so I had to start the coloring sooner then I anticipated. Which was a tedious process because the file is so large, so it could take anywhere between 1-6 minutes for program to load the coloring process aswell as the additional time it took if i accidentally let go of shift then clicked something else resulting in having to reselect everything i had previously selected (which happened several times) I also didn’t get to add the doors everywhere, or completely finish the guest bedroom that decided to mess up after i started loading color.
