About Jon R.
My name is (Jon)athan R and I’m a senior Interactive student in the class of 2024 (yes, I’m typing this in 3rd person). I initially enrolled into this class after a previous student introduced me to the program stating that its “actually pretty cool.” I have my Digital Design, illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro certifications, these are the coolest certs, and all the others are dumb anyway. I have no idea what the character limit on this is so I’m gonna stop typing.

Capstone Idea
Hello, if you’re reading this then you have a minor interest in my Capstone project. The end goal of the project is supposed to be a Two-Dimensional Simulation about a man attempting to purchase milk at a dangerous yet mysterious store. So far, I made a sprite sheet for every human character in my upcoming project with Lili. It isn’t a full game yet, but the groundwork had been laid out.

Update 1 - 9/27/23
The first Update, at this point I added and animated over 12 human characters in the current project as well as added around half a dozen “monster” characters. My next step would be to finish all characters.
Update 2 - 10/19/23
Second update, I created every minor sprite in the game and an estimate of about 35 variants amongst those sprites.
Update 3 - 11/1/23
I finished drafting and designing ALL specialist characters like the “Looter” faction and Technology Assistants, now all I need to do is finish the ranged units and boss units.
Update 4 - 11/17/23
I Revised the sales associates to look cooler, I also exported all of them as png’s and added them in assorted files…yaaaayyy!
Update 5 - 11/30/23
Throughout the year, capstone has been fairly easy on my end…until it wasn’t, but through perseverance and dedication. The problem with having a year long project is the deadline. I only have a year to complete this project, so we cant go overboard. Since the beginning I adapted to photoshop and i’m able to utilize its tools faster. However as time passes, i’ve been transferring to unity, which is a program I have no experience in. So I have to adapt once more.
Update 6 - 1/24/24
Since my previous entry, I animated a variety of sprites in the Unity engine, including the main Protagonist and Gigagoon boss.
Update 7 - 2/29/24
This month I took a technical approach to the project, implementing the beta stages for the AI that the game uses, I use the term “AI” loosely because its not that intelligent and “artificial” is not the right word for him.
Update FINAL ENTRY - 5/9/24
This is It. After this entire year, me and my associate (the one on the floor) successfully made a functioning game, sure its quirky and weird, but I don’t care, I think its cool and it got me a cool metal so yeah, this year was a massive W all around and i’m blessed to be one of the few allowed here at CCST-IMP.
